Challenges in practice
An efficient production inspection guides your employees precisely through the prescribed inspection and documentation steps. Process and machine parameters must also be frequently documented with the test results.
With the elements of statistical process control (SPC), you can monitor a large number of process parameters and are therefore able to react immediately to deviations in process capability.
Solution QS1
From individual production to large series, whether basic production and assembly processes or bulk/batch processes - with QS1 you control your inspections along the value chain via the necessary accompanying production inspections through to the final inspection related to the delivery lot, if necessary also with the signed releases in the GxP environment.
The necessary data from the ERP system is available in real time thanks to end-to-end integration, regardless of whether it concerns articles, characteristics, parts lists and work processes or production orders.
The required SPC and/or final inspections are assigned at item, item group, work centre / resource or ERP routing / operation level.
QS1 automatically creates the necessary inspection orders when the production orders are released. Different procedures are available for distributing the inspections within the company. Employees are guided intuitively through the attributive and variable inspections. Additional information (texts, images, documents, CAD data) is displayed to the employee for each characteristic in the inspection steps.
Automatic dynamisation based on sampling plans allows you to direct the inspection effort to the right place and thus save resources in the inspection process. You can define any number of dynamisation stages (e.g. setup inspection, first piece inspection, SPC series inspections).
In the NIO case, the employee responsible in the complaints area is informed via the integrated workflow. This employee starts processing the deviations in the complaints module. In many cases, only the inspection report is sent and the complaint is released for the supplier portal.

Your advantages
- Thanks to the clearly structured assignment of the required inspections at different levels in combination with your ERP data, you minimise the administrative effort involved in creating and maintaining your inspection plans.
- Thanks to data and process communication with your ERP system, the required inspection orders with their respective inspection specifications are created fully automatically.
- For batch/series manufacturers, QS1 allows you to conveniently record the sequencing of your product structure in the course of the quality inspection.
- Graphic inspection instructions guide your inspectors in the production area through the required inspection steps
- In addition to any drawing-based inspection characteristics, you also collect process parameters such as closing pressure, temperature, etc. as a basis for predictive quality requirements
- Cavity-related feedback for parts that fall out of the mould
