Challenges in practice

From a holistic quality management perspective, an optimised, quality-assured flow of goods is essential. In the area of incoming goods inspections, the internal costs for quality assurance of supplier deliveries are very often a factor that should not be neglected. One way of minimising costs and risks is to secure the outgoing goods inspection of your suppliers and only process the most important product characteristics of the deliveries during the internal incoming goods inspection in your company. It goes without saying that all these processes must take place online, without complex cloud access and replication mechanisms, simply and transparently for your suppliers.

Solution QS1

Using the QS1 supplier portal, you are able to provide the supplier goods issue inspections as an upstream area of your goods receipt inspection. When goods are actually received in your ERP system, the goods issue/supplier is then automatically compared with your goods receipt. In combination with your ERP data available online in the QS1 portal, such as the specific purchase orders, your suppliers have the basic data for documenting goods issues.

You control the required inspections and the inspection severity for the supplier via associated inspection plan structures in combination with different dynamisation procedures. Required documents, such as inspection certificates from upstream suppliers, are assigned directly by the supplier and processed internally using the document control mechanisms. By providing an ‘internal’ as well as an ‘external’ view of the joint processes of deliveries and your goods receipts, all information and processing statuses can be viewed by all parties involved at any time. As a result, the supplier's outgoing goods inspection in your QM system becomes part of the digital supply chain!

  • Integration of the outgoing goods inspection at the supplier into your internal incoming goods inspection process
  • Reference to the supplier's orders from your ERP system
  • Direct recording of the inspection data and any required documents / attachments / certificates
  • Statistical evaluation and creation of key figures as part of the supplier's feedback of the inspection data
  • Inspection data is therefore available to your employees before the supplier despatches the goods or before the goods arrive
  • Automatic comparison of the supplier inspection data with the posting of the incoming goods in your ERP system
  • GxP: Possibility of batch release for delivery to your supplier by your Qualified Person
  • Platform-independent web application
  • No additional installation required
