Shaping semi-finished metal products such as profiles, rods, tubes, strips, plates and forged semi-finished parts into functional components or component groups requires a high level of technological manufacturing expertise, which has been developed at RF over the last seven decades and is constantly being perfected.

Rupert Fertinger (RF) develops, designs, constructs and manufactures production tools exclusively for its own requirements. With this many years of experience in the construction of tools, FERTINGER has been able to establish itself as a specialist for metal process tools. The tool portfolio includes machining tools for machining, devices for clamping and fixing the products in the machines and systems during machining. Punching tools, forging dies and tube bending tools as well as tools for tube end machining. Around 200 employees work for Rupert FERTINGER's customers at three locations in Lower Austria.

Quality control plays a central role at RF

The product groups manufactured at RF are divided into the ‘Automotive Components’ and ‘Industrial Components’ divisions, depending on the customer and application. While the ‘Automotive’ division covers solutions for cooling elements and batteries or cable connections, the ‘Industrial’ division focuses on the product programme for sanitary technology. Quality (control) plays a central role in both areas.

RF relies on Oxaion for its ERP system and covers all quality-relevant areas including project management with Oxaion and QS1. In-process inspections are the order of the day in both divisions. The users at RF particularly appreciate the fact that they can access all relevant information (drawings, work plan, parts list, work applications, etc.) with QS1 and can also visualise their inspection activities.
