Plastics of the highest precision

Always pushing the boundaries of what is possible, HÖRL offers its customers innovative complete plastic solutions. From tool design to the finished product, the aim is to give the best and realise ideas.

HÖRL specialises in the highly automated production of small and micro injection moulded parts of the highest precision and quality.

The focus is on the production of sophisticated contact components made of technical materials with the highest precision for the automotive, telecommunications and electronics industries. All process steps from development consulting to tool design, simulation, toolmaking and injection moulding production, including assembly and logistics, are subject to a clearly structured quality management system and are implemented by a team of experts.

Process optimisation and increased efficiency with the help of QS1

HÖRL pursues a comprehensive approach to holistic quality management. The foundation for consistent quality management across the entire value chain is laid as early as the product development stage, starting with the FMEA. QS1 allows redundancy-free mapping of production control plans / FMEAs and inspection plans in any modular form: FMEA sub-trees = inspection plans.

A customised solution in the initial sample area makes it possible to reduce costs. Group inspection plans and the extensive possibilities of the parent-child functions in combination with CAD integration lead to a significant reduction in the maintenance effort for the high number of part variants.

The use of the QS1 cavity module in production testing makes it easier to define the different moulds per test job and the active nests. Machine data can be assigned to the test orders in real time via the MDE and a visualisation provides optimum controlling of the current production. In the event of faults, direct intervention is possible and the reason for the fault can be recorded.

The module for machine data acquisition in QS1 adapts perfectly to the individual conditions and technical requirements at HÖRL and thus enables proactive production management. All actual data generated during the operation of a machine is recorded. In addition, supplementary data such as production orders, part numbers, information on tools, wear, availability, etc. are documented.

However, the QS1-MDE module not only provides the database for production control, the recorded data can also be used for professional process data management. The QSC solution ensures optimum interaction between hardware and software at HÖRL. The QS1-MDE enables centralised management of all machines from one system, all parameters are freely configurable and can be individually defined and saved. QS1 also controls and locks the containers used in production.

In combination with the SPC Analyser, ad-hoc analyses can be created across the entire value chain; in particular, more complex capability analyses (process, machine, cavity, mould, etc.) are also provided.

The interaction between the individual sub-areas and the QS1 modules used ensures seamless data acquisition in real time, resulting in significant optimisation of production processes, avoidance of downtime and continuous quality improvement.
