We are delighted to have gained a new customer in Steinmeyer. Our consultants Thomas Trautsamwieser and Martin Blumauer were on site to implement our CAQ software QS1. Thanks to our RealTime adapter to the lead ERP system AP+, which is available as standard, the connection to the ERP system was straightforward.
In addition to the implementation of QS1, our CAQ software, our consultants were able to familiarise themselves with Steinmeyer during a tour of the company.
Insights into the training days at Steinmeyer:
Day 1
Our consultants started with a fascinating introduction to Steinmeyer's company history and an in-depth presentation of the ball screw drive, the centrepiece of the company, which has been manufactured since 1965.
These components are essential for numerous industries, especially machine tool manufacturing and aerospace, where the highest quality standards must be met. These industries are characterised by strict quality standards.
The processes associated with the aerospace industry in particular were scrutinised and analysed in QS1.
Another point was the efficient use of group test plans to reduce the maintenance effort of the extensive test plans for a more resource-efficient way of working. In addition, we worked closely with Steinmeyer to develop individual adaptations in the area of production inspections and optimised the processes for recording complaints and defects.
Day 2
The second day offered deeper insights into the creation of protocols and reports, which are of crucial importance for both Steinmeyer and its suppliers.
As part of the initial sample inspection, the initial samples according to VDA and the handling of serial numbers as well as batch network tracking in QS1 were dealt with.
The highlight of the day was the demonstration of the seamless integration of our CAQ system with the ERP system AP+. Thanks to real-time communication, conventional interfaces are completely eliminated.
The advantages of redundancy-free data are enormous and amortise within a very short time!
Our CAQ software QS1 thus enables effective quality management and covers all requirements from planning and implementation to comprehensive analyses.

Many thanks to the Steinmeyer team (Mr Goreth Wolfgang/Head of Quality, Mr Beck Marco/ERP Project Management, Mr Leins Christian/Subproject Management CAQ) for the great cooperation and flexibility in process design. Thanks to the great commitment of both sides, it was possible to organise the processes efficiently and purposefully.
We are looking forward to a good co-operation and to a common future with further successful projects.
In particular, the real-time adaptation to our ERP system AP+ enabled us to start the project immediately at a high level and prevents redundant data storage between the ERP and CAQ systems.
We are delighted to have found a great partner in QSC, with whom we are optimising our quality management processes in order to be equipped for the constantly increasing requirements.
