Why QS1?
A key factor for asma was the seamless integration of QS1 into the APplus ERP system. This combination provides an excellent basis for minimising the amount of master data required. The implementation of individual QS1 modules creates a central information hub through which all data recorded and maintained in APplus - from parts lists and work schedules to article master data and company-specific characteristics and attribute values - is quickly and easily available. This structure paves the way for future-oriented projects relating to artificial intelligence and automation and strengthens asma's efficiency and innovative power.
Important Highlights
asma relies on QS1 to organise its quality processes digitally and efficiently. With the modules already implemented for test equipment monitoring and complaints management, a decisive foundation stone has been laid for comprehensive quality management. Test equipment monitoring ensures seamless management and monitoring of all measuring equipment used, while complaints management enables structured and transparent processing of customer and process complaints. Both modules create the basis for a sustainable level of quality and continuous process improvement.
Central advantages
A key advantage of the collaboration is the direct connection to APplus, which functions smoothly and will be further expanded. A special feature of the project is the user-friendly design of the inspection process for the production employees: the inspection process is controlled directly from APplus, whereby the inspectors switch seamlessly to QS1, carry out the inspections there and then automatically return to the ERP system.
Next steps
The QSC team is currently working together with asma's IT department to start the accompanying production inspection directly from the WSS terminal (workshop control system) during project planning. This allows production employees to carry out resource-saving and time-saving inspections directly on the shop floor without having to switch systems.
