Baumann Automation
Baumann has been supplying assembly systems to first-tier suppliers and tier N suppliers for more than 35 years. Baumann works with its customers to develop the optimum automation systems in terms of cost, quality and flexibility - and this in the typical project business of the automotive industry.
We are very pleased to announce that we have won Baumann Automation as a new customer! Our consultant Lukas Piewald was on site to introduce our CAQ software QS1 and hold the first training sessions.
Insights into the training days:
Day 1: Qualification Management
- Introduction of the module for 22 departments
- Qualification of new employees: security training, data protection and information security
- Further qualification of employees: options for internal and external training courses
The QS1 Qualification Management module provides convenient tools and freely parameterisable processes for the professional mapping of Baumann's learning and knowledge management requirements.
This includes:
- Centralised master data management for defining the required qualifications and the associated qualification steps, training documents, e-learning processes and checklists for checking knowledge.
- The required qualifications are defined in the user master data by means of a role system and/or qualification rules
- All qualification acquisition steps are controlled and monitored using freely parameterisable cockpits that enable quick and easy operation.
- Employees can be integrated into the digital process via intranet or mobile devices, including simple processes such as messages or multi-stage e-learning processes.
Day 2: Deviation Management
QS1 offers a customised solution for individual requirements and helps to overcome challenges in error and deviation management:
- Standard-compliant processes from mobile fault recording and complaint processes to holistic deviation management
- Use of tools such as 8D-Reports, Ishikawa and 5-Why for root cause analysis.
- Direct communication of all deviations and measures with suppliers via the QS1 portal functions
- CAPA functions and integrated action workflows guide through the failure analysis processes, even across multiple production stages.
- Cost factors are analysed in conjunction with ERP data
Day 3: Audit Management
QS1 supports the entire audit management process, from planning and implementation through to comprehensive analyses:
- Provision of questionnaires and assessment catalogues for all common standards and norms that are easy to adapt.
- Planning and control of the audit process for suppliers, products and internal management processes.
- Automated suggestions for new audits based on stored rules and results of previous audits.
- Support for different audit workflows, including remote audits, document audits and self-assessment processes.
- Recording of deviations and measures during the audit process, with extensive options for classifying errors and allocating information.
- Integration of suppliers into the audit process via web portal or re-importable .PDF documents.
- Integration of all recorded data into the central analyser and knowledge management system of QS1, with extensive standard and individual evaluations.
