Kohl & Sohn stands for a consistent focus on small and medium-sized series - this means delivery via various logistics systems such as just-in-time, just-in-sequence, Kanban or consignment stock are part of daily practice.

With > 5,000 active tools in use and 8 million products per year, reducing costs and increasing overall system efficiency is a considerable challenge for Kohl & Sohn. To meet the quality requirements, Kohl & Sohn relies on the CAQ solution QS1.

An efficient link with the ERP logistics processes is the prerequisite for efficiently integrating incoming goods inspections into the overall context of supplier management. An efficient production inspection then guides employees precisely through the prescribed inspection and documentation steps. Process parameters are also documented for the inspection results. With the elements of statistical process control (SPC) in QS1, process parameters can be monitored, enabling an immediate response to deviations in process capability.

We are confronted with a large number of deviations along the value chain. Whether in supplier management, internal production and assembly processes or complaints, service requests and claims from customers. A lack of standardization and sources of error that lead to regular deviations are often detected too late.

The QS1 complaints modules guide you through all complaints processes in compliance with standards, with the elements required by customers, such as 8D reports or the Ishikawa and 5-Why root cause analysis tools, right through to holistic deviation management.
